Good Afternoon Parents,
The LHS Bands performed splendidly at the parade yesterday! Cheryl and I thank you for your commitment to these important community events. Theses events throughout the summer take organization and planning ahead in order to support our Ypsilanti and Lincoln community. We know that all family vacations cannot be avoided, but we do ask to be notified if a student will not be attending. Students need to request time off work for these events. Our attendance yesterday was not accurate to the emails we received about absences.
U of M Concessions: We need more parents and students for the August 31st game. Please email Ann Murphy at [email protected] to sign up. Each student/family is being asked to contribute to these events throughout the season. Each section is designated a game throughout the season. Low Brass is slated for the August 31st game. However, students can sign up for any game. The designation of sections is to help ensure that we have enough volunteers for each game.
Marcos Pizza Cards: Please do not forget that we are still selling the pizza cards for an individual account fundraiser. Each card will earn $8! Students may sign out 5 cards at a time at $10/card. This fundraiser has the potential to earn $6000 for our band students. The fundraiser is on going until we run out of cards or they expire in June 2014. Students may sign out cards anytime we meet. :)
August Dates:
August 27: Uniform Fittings 6-9
August 28: Rehearsal 5-7. Meet The Team begins at 7:00. Wear blue polos for performance. Dismiss approximately 8:00. Uniform fittings from 7:30- dismissal.
August 30: Game! Report to band room at 4:30 in summer uniform. Bring a sack dinner. A game itinerary will be sent closer to game day..
September 4: Rehearsal 6-9.
September 6: Game Day! Report time 4:30. A more detailed itinerary will be provided once school starts.
